Personally and professionally, I have discovered that my Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Accessibility philosophy is rooted in a commitment to continued growth in learning. Ijeoma Oluo shares,

“No matter what our intentions, everything we say and do in the pursuit of justice will one day be outdated, ineffective, and yes probably wrong. That is the way progress works. What we do now is important and helpful so long as what we do now is needed now. But the arguments I was having in college are not the arguments the world needs now as I prepare to send my son to college”.

      In my previous role with the State of Colorado, Innovation and Change Management, we reclassified my role with a targeted focus on EDIBA. I was involved in: Colorado Department of Healthcare Policy and Finance (HCPF): EDI Education and EDI Health Equity; Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS): Office of Economic Security EDI committee, CDHS EDI 2022-2023 Action Plan Committee, and The Belonging Project.
